The AX3, flagship of the Stealth Acoustics line of full range speaker systems, achieves a level of audio performance rivalling that of superior visible speakers. The AX3 is a 3-way system utilising three high-power neodymium motors and a high power 8” conventional woofer. The woofer fires into an air tight chamber creating an acoustic lever, activating the 400 x 760mm panel for low frequencies. The neodymium motors are bonded to carbon fibre transmission plates behind the panel face (pictured) - one for high frequencies and two for midrange frequencies – configured in a manner that creates our Balanced Drive Midrange™. The result is an invisible speaker system with solid bass, crisp high frequency response and a midrange that is open and natural.
SOUND QUALITY
Many attempts have been made over the years to create a speaker solution that is heard, yet not seen; puck-type transducers attached to wall materials, Styrofoam and other approaches. All have yielded costly solutions that typically do not sound as good as a regular speaker.
Now there is a unique way to allow speaker technology to disappear, while obtaining excellent sound quality.
The Stealth speaker systems are just that – true complete speaker systems that become invisible when installed.
PRODUCT QUALITY
Since our speakers become part of the finished wall or ceiling, we realise that reliability is paramount to our success. The quality components and crossover systems in all Stealth speakers are engineered and manufactured for heavy use and are equipped with self-resetting poly-switch overload protection to protect the drive units well below their rated power handling. To further ensure consistent quality, we test each Stealth speaker with computer analysis and a listening test before they are shipped. Stealth Acoustics share the same characteristics as regular speakers, including frequency response, sensitivity and power handling, as well as other specifications of high-end visible in-wall speakers. They work seamlessly with other components in your entertainment system. No special equalizers or signal processing is required; Stealth Acoustics products are equally comfortable being driven by an inexpensive stereo receiver, a whole house audio amplifier or high-end audio component.
INSTALLATION
The Stealth speaker system installs and finishes as easily as a plaster sheet in a stud wall or ceiling space. Installation can be as simple as placing the wires in the high quality binding posts, attaching the speaker to the wall framing and finishing the wall surface. No special brackets or glues are required during installation.
10 YEAR ON-SITE WARRANTY*
All Stealth speakers come with a standard 10 year on-site warranty, providing they are used in a domestic application. This warranty covers not only the replacement of the product, but also includes refinishing and repainting as required to match the original installation.
